Most people describe a brief pinch at each placement, a few seconds each. Numbing cream and a cold pack are available if you want them. The whole appointment is fifteen to twenty minutes and downtime is typically none.
It depends on which areas you want softened and how strongly those muscles move. Forehead and brow together commonly runs 20 to 40 units. You get the exact number at the free consultation, before anything is administered.
Under twenty units there is rarely enough placed to change how an area moves, so the result disappoints. Twenty is the point where the treatment is worth doing. At $7 that puts a first visit at $140.
Generally three to four months. It varies with metabolism, how strong the muscle is and how long you have been treating the area. People who treat consistently often find it lasts a little longer over time.
Most healthy adults are. It is not appropriate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have certain neuromuscular conditions. We go through your history at the consultation and will tell you honestly if this is not the right treatment for what you want.
We treat conservatively on a first visit for exactly this reason. At the two week check we can add a little more if you want more softening. Tox is not permanent, so anything you are unhappy with fades on its own over three to four months.
That comes from over placement, not from Tox itself. Adding a little is easy and removing it is not, so we start light and build.
